I feel privileged to have been given the role of representing students of Glenmoor Academy as Head Girl for the academic year 2022/23. 

I have been fortunate to have so many opportunities since I joined Glenmoor and I have first hand experience of the outstanding academic and extra curricular experiences. I am honoured to be able to give something back to the school that has given me so much confidence and support.

The staff at Glenmoor and Winton academies are an outstanding team who listen to the students. They are approachable and supportive and have created an environment where students have the chance to learn in practical and accessible ways. Having teachers who encourage you to be creative and unique has given me the opportunity to learn so much. The structures in place at Glenmoor and Winton offer students security and boundaries to help them develop the skills they need to make positive contributions. 

I am excited to be part of an incredibly positive, creative and innovative team of students who will form the student leadership team and work closely with the students and staff at the academies to embody the values of integrity, compassion and courage. 

My goal this year is to ensure that students at the academies are aware of all the fantastic opportunities available to them and that the students who would benefit from them the most are encouraged and supported to access them. I hope that all students are able to express their views and wishes and meaningfully contribute to the development of the school.

I can’t wait to take on this responsibility and begin working with the student leadership team and Head Boy, Josh Muzura.
